Predictions for the WWE NXT on CW Network premiere

Next week marks the big premiere of NXT on the CW, and honestly, who would have thought that the little developmental show would one day be on network television? But here we are! I want to predict the matches and share where I think the brand is heading in general.

Ethan Page vs. Trick Williams for the NXT Championship, with CM Punk as the special guest referee

Ethan Page has been a really strong heel champion over the summer, and while I’d like to see him retain the championship, this is Trick’s night. He’s going to win the belt back from Ethan.

NXT Women’s Championship: Giulia vs. Roxanne Perez

This will be a really strong match overall, and it could go either way, especially considering how this week’s episode ended. But if I had to pick a winner, I’d say Roxanne finds a way to retain the title.

Wes Lee vs. Zachary Wentz: Chicago Street Fight

This will be an awesome fight, as both guys are capable of incredible things. I see Wes getting his win back.

Jada Parker and Lola Vice vs. Fatal Attraction

This should be a good match to place in the middle of the show. The fact that you have two wrestlers who can’t stand each other as a tag team brings an interesting dynamic, but I don’t think it’ll be Parker and Vice’s night—I see the heels winning this match.

Also on the show, Bianca and Jade will make an appearance. I’m guessing they’ll get involved with Fatal Attraction in some way, setting up a match between the two teams for next week’s show in St. Louis.

Miz TV with Oba Femi and Tony D’Angelo

This will be your typical Miz TV segment, likely ending in a big brawl. I could see this being used as a way to add a stipulation to their match at the St. Louis show.

Predictions for the NXT Brand

First, the women’s division is probably the strongest it’s ever been in NXT. I think by WrestleMania weekend, we’ll see a Giulia vs. Stephanie Wagner match for the NXT Women’s title.

I see Trick getting a long title reign before being called up.

The brand will do fewer live shows from the Performance Center and will eventually become a traveling brand like Raw and SmackDown.

We’ll also see more and more crossovers from main roster stars on NXT.

Lastly, I could see them doing a big PLE between NXT and TNA.

In the end, this is a great time for fans of the NXT brand, and it’s also a great time for fans who haven’t watched the show before to jump in and give it a chance.
