WWE news items regarding Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes, a big internal focus, and potential signing

Here are a few WWE news items for May 26th 2023 via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com…

* Meltzer noted that Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes “is the long-term direction for the ultimate destination match. Wrestlemania [40] is a strong possibility but this far out there are so many things that can happen.” Reigns is expected to defend his titles at Summerslam but there is no word yet regarding his opponent.

* According to Meltzer, there is “a big internal focus right now” to get younger wrestlers featured on RAW and Smackdown.

* There has reportedly been recent talk internally in WWE about signing MLW star Richard Holliday following the story of him beating cancer. Holliday is slated to make his GCW debut on July 8th 2023 at GCW Clean Up Man in Hartford, Connecticut.
