WWE news items regarding Gable Steveson’s status, Royal Rumble ticket sales, and Mandy Rose

Here are a few WWE news items for October 7th 2022 via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com…

* It’s being said that Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson is now training full-time at the Performance Center and Fit Finlay has been in charge of Stevenson’s training. Steveson told ESPN.com that he recently underwent surgery for Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome which is a syndrome in which an extra electrical pathway in the heart causes a rapid heartbeat.

* Last week on Smackdown, Michael Cole announced that the 2023 Royal Rumble in San Antonio had the best first-day ticket sales in the history of the event. It’s believed that just over 25,000 tickets were sold and the Alamodome has been set up for a 40,000 seat capacity.

* NXT women’s Champion Mandy Rose was originally scheduled to compete in a six-woman tag team match this past Tuesday night on NXT. Meltzer noted that Mandy was written out of the match in storyline due to death of her older brother Richard Saccomanno at the age of 40. When Mandy returns, she could end up back on RAW or Smackdown as there continues to be talk of Toxic Attraction being called up to the main roster.
