WWE news items regarding Brock Lesnar vs. Gunther, “hiring freeze” reports, and Dominik Mysterio

Here are a few WWE news items for April 14th 2023 via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com…

* While there have been rumors of Brock Lesnar having a match against Gunther, Meltzer noted that “right now there are no plans for Lesnar vs. Gunther at Summerslam or Lesnar vs. Gunther any time soon.” Lesnar is believed to already have a direction for Summerslam that isn’t Gunther if he appears at the event.

* In regards to reports of there possibly being a “hiring freeze” in WWE, Meltzer wrote that “WWE is still business as usual when it comes to hiring and in talks with new significant performers.”

* Prior to the start of Rey Mysterio’s feud with his son Dominik, there was reportedly “serious thought given” to the idea of Dominik going to NXT but it’s not going to happen now.
