WWE has apparently figured out “all the details” regarding the John Cena Classic

During the 2026 WWE Backlash PLE, John Cena announced the first-ever “John Cena Classic” — the best of today vs. the best of tomorrow. Cena confirmed that there will be a new event and a new championship. The fans will also determine the winner through a voting process.

While speaking at the Fan Expo Canada, Cena provided an update on the event…

“Normally—so I don’t want to leave you without an answer—normally I want to say we’re figuring out the details. I’ll say this, we have all the details. You just gotta hang in there with me because they want me to keep it a secret until it’s time to say it. But we got it. We got a lot of information I’m gonna dump on you. It just ain’t gonna be today.”

While not confirmed, the belief is that the John Cena Classic will take place at WWE’s Wrestlepalooza PLE in Perth, Australia on Saturday, December 12th. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com reported the December 12th date for Cena’s event prior to WWE announcing Wrestlepalooza.
