WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair unable to attend Cauliflower Alley Club reunion due to medical issue
WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was unable to attend the Cauliflower Alley Club’s 60th annual reunion this week due to a medical issue. Flair had been scheduled to attend the August 26th 2026 banquet and receive the Iron Mike Mazurki Award, but Jerry “The King” Lawler and Jimmy Hart accepted the honor on his behalf. Flair still appeared at the event via video message. Here is what Flair stated…
“I have a blood clot in my leg, so I can’t travel the five or six-hour trips that it takes to get there, and I turn it around and run right to Philadelphia. But I want to thank you all for coming out tonight, honoring me. I’m so honored, so privileged… I’m doing great. I feel great. I hope to stay like this for a while.”
“From my heart, I’m sorry I couldn’t be there in person. I wouldn’t have missed it. Would have enjoyed shaking hands with all of you. I see a lot of you at conventions over the years, but there’s nothing like receiving a reward and knowing that you’re appreciated, whether you’re there or not. And I can’t thank you all enough.”
