What WWE originally had planned for The Bloodline’s segment during the 12/16/22 Smackdown

As seen during the December 16th 2022 edition of WWE Smackdown in Chicago, a John Cena video interrupted The Bloodline’s promo. Cena then confirmed that he will be Kevin Owens’ tag team partner against Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn on the December 30th edition of Smackdown.

According to Fightful Select, Owens was originally supposed to confront The Bloodline and then introduce the Cena video. The site noted the following…

“Kevin Owens was supposed to be featured on the double Smackdown tapings, but couldn’t make it due to what WWE told us was a ‘nightmare travel situation.’ As a result, Owens had to be written out of the shows and major production and writing changes were made.”
