What was originally discussed for The Young Bucks at the Forbidden Door PPV
As seen at the 2022 AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door PPV event, ROH and AAA tag team champions FTR captured the IWGP titles. According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, NJPW booker Gedo’s original idea was for the Young Bucks to win the titles. Meltzer wrote the following…
“It was changed, and the Young Bucks were on board with that change with the idea that it’s a cool story for FTR to have the IWGP, ROH and AAA tag titles.”
The current speculation is that the Young Bucks will face FTR at some point in the future with all of the titles on the line.
