What is being said about Brock Lesnar potentially being brought back to WWE following Vince McMahon resignation

It’s believed that Brock Lesnar did not appear in the 2024 men’s WWE Royal Rumble match because of his name being associated with the Vince McMahon sex trafficking lawsuit and McMahon’s resignation. WWE reportedly canceled plans to use Lesnar moving forward.

Over the weekend, word spread around the internet that Lesnar was “added back” to the active roster page on WWE’s website although it was also said that his profile was never actually removed. In regards to Lesnar’s status with the company, Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com stated the following during Wrestling Observer Live

“In the last few days, there have been moves regarding Brock Lesnar. If you listen to the show last night with Dave [Meltzer], everything we talked about is accurate other than the roster page. There are movements to bring him back.”

“I should add regarding Brock. I’m not saying he’s going to be back. I have no idea if he’s going to be back. I wouldn’t bring him back but I can tell you that there have been inquiries made and what that means, we will wait and see. It seems like a bad idea to me. Put it that way.” (quotes courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)

It was originally rumored that Lesnar would face Intercontinental champion Gunther at Wrestlemania 40 but Gunther will officially be having a match against Sami Zayn instead.
