Gunther’s opponent for the Intercontinental title at WWE Wrestlemania 40 confirmed

During the March 11th 2024, a gauntlet match took place to determine Gunther’s challenger for the Intercontinental title at WWE Wrestlemania 40. The participants were Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bronson Reed, Ricochet, JD McDonagh, and Chad Gable.

Ricochet eliminated JD, Bronson Reed eliminated Ricochet, Zayn eliminated Reed, Zayn eliminated Nakamura, and Zayn finally eliminated Gable to win the match. Zayn was officially confirmed as Gunther’s opponent for Wrestlemania.
