Updated details regarding the reported WWE incident between Jade Cargill and Shayna Baszler
As previously noted, there was reportedly a backstage confrontation involving WWE stars Jade Cargill and Shayna Baszler. The time frame for the incident was said to have been when Shayna and Zoey Stark wrestled against Jade and Bianca Belair in June of 2024.
Fightful.com noted that when asking WWE talent about a Jade/Shayna incident shortly after Jade was written off television in November of 2024, those in the locker room were quiet. Since then, it was claimed that Jade took issue with something that had unfolded and word around the locker room was that Jade had said something to the effect that Baszler needed to “learn how to work” but it was denied by people close to Jade.
The incident was said to have stemmed from the Clash at the Castle match where Jade tapped out in what wasn’t supposed to be the finish of the match. People close to Jade have claimed that she was more disappointed in herself with how things went down and was apologetic backstage.
Jade’s absence was also said to have been the subject of heat in the locker room. Talent had heard that Jade asked for the 2024 holiday tour off but was told that it was mandatory. Jade and WWE claimed that she was injured but multiple talent doubted the validity of the claim.
Following Jade’s return to WWE at Elimination Chamber, she uploaded a promo video on March 2nd about demanding respect and being surrounded by wolves in the shape of women all around her. At least one talent in the locker room mentioned that this was taken personally by a number of talent as they kept the issue between Jade and Shayna quiet.
