Update regarding top WWE stars possibly appearing on both shows more often

In regards to why Roman Reigns wrestled twice on the September 20th 2021 edition of WWE RAW, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that “the idea was to use this to make Reigns the megastar the company has lacked since [John] Cena stopped working full-time.”

While there was recently talk about top WWE stars possibly appearing on both brands more often, Meltzer was told that it’s not a long-term strategy and not even a short-term one. Meltzer added that if viewership continues to decline, “all can change on a moment’s notice but as of this week this wasn’t something they were planning on regularly doing.”

Monday’s RAW did see a viewership increase to 1.790 million viewers from 1.670 million viewers the previous week.
