Update on John Cena potentially making an appearance at WWE Wrestlemania 40
It was previously reported that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and John Cena will potentially be making appearances at WWE Wrestlemania 40 although nothing is official. There has been speculation that Austin and/or Cena will possibly be involved in the Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes match.
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that Cena will be shooting the second season of Peacemaker starting in June. Meltzer stated the following about what Cena’s schedule means for Wrestlemania…
“The last word we got was he [Cena] was free that day, would like to do it, but physically it would be limited. When asked about Cena, Undertaker and Austin, the answer was they were not going to wrestle in matches, which at this point would be the expected answer.”
On Friday morning, Cena acknowledged the Austin rumors with a post via Instagram.
