As previously noted, WWE was looking to have Tyson Fury be part of the 2023 Royal Rumble PLE and WWE Wrestlemania 39 but he is reportedly banned from entering the United States at the moment after links to alleged Irish mob boss Daniel Kinahan emerged.
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com had some additional details regarding Fury and WWE. Meltzer noted that “according to one major WWE source, he could not say the story wasn’t true but noted it was not something talked about.” It was also noted that Fury reportedly is “not willing to put people over or even look vulnerable” if does another WWE match. Considering what Fury’s price tag is, Meltzer questioned if a Royal Rumble surprise appearance would make financial sense for WWE.
The belief is that if WWE is unable to get Fury for Wrestlemania, he’ll possibly appear at one of the company’s international events in 2023. WWE’s next Saudi Arabia show is planned for May and Fury’s first WWE match was at Crown Jewel against Braun Strowman.
