Tony Khan confirms that he would have supported Adam Copeland being part of John Cena’s retirement tour

During an interview with Ariel Helwani earlier this month, Adam Copeland (formerly known as Edge) revealed that he believed Tony Khan would have allowed him to be John Cena’s final opponent in WWE if the opportunity had presented itself. While speaking to Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Khan addressed Copeland’s claim…

“I was never asked, and as far as I know, Adam was never asked, so it’s hard to say. But when there have been opportunities to collaborate, I have been collaborative in the past, I never got asked, but if I had been presented a plan and the dates and the information of what was going on, yeah, I would have supported it. But nobody ever asked us or me.”

Khan added that he would “not have undermined” any arrangement if both sides had “been able to talk and work something out.”
