The latest regarding Ronda Rousey’s contractual status with WWE
As previously noted, there is talk that Ronda Rousey will be returning to WWE at the 2022 Royal Rumble PLE.
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com confirmed that Rousey has been training to return and she is still under contract to WWE. Meltzer wrote the following…
“Either a new deal was put together or WWE froze her three-year deal since she really only worked the first year and a few months of it.”
Meltzer did not confirm that Rousey will be in the women’s Rumble match but noted that a match between her and Becky Lynch for Wrestlemania 38 has been discussed internally. Bianca Belair had been the betting odds favorite to win the women’s Rumble but now Rousey is the favorite.
