Tama and Talla Tonga capture the WWE tag team titles on SmackDown

As seen during the August 14th 2026 edition of WWE SmackDown, The MFTs (Tama and Talla Tonga) defeated R-Truth & Damian Priest and The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) in a Triple Threat Match to win the WWE Tag Team Championships. Their father, Haku, was at ringside.

The match featured Priest hitting an early crossbody on all of the other competitors, Talla delivering a double chokeslam to Truth and Priest, and Priest and Ivar briefly teaming up to take down Talla. In the closing moments, Tama and Talla hit the Brother’s Keeper double powerbomb on R-Truth, allowing Tama to score the pinfall.
