Swerve Strickland’s world title opponent confirmed for the 2024 AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door PPV event
As seen during the May 28th 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite, a sudden death Casino Gauntlet match took place to determine world champion Swerve Strickland’s challenger at the 2024 AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door PPV event. The participants were Jay White, Pac, Mistico, Will Ospreay, Shota Umino, Claudio, Lio Rush, Orange Cassidy, and Hechicero.
Ospreay, who is the International champion, pinned Cassidy to win the match. Swerve came to the ring afterwards and had a face-off with Ospreay.
