Speculation about CM Punk apologizing to a “planted” fan at WWE Night of Champions

Just prior to the 2025 WWE Night of Champions PLE, CM Punk publicly apologized for his “suck a blood money covered d*ck in Saudi Arabia” post from 2020. After NOC, Paul “Triple H” Levesque said that he was “incredibly proud” of Punk for apologizing to Saudi Arabia fans.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com said the following about the apology…

“That obviously was planted… Obviously somebody wanted him to apologize and he did. He’s not exactly the apologetic type for one thing… I thought he came off just horrible… But it’s wrestling and it’s to be expected.”

Fightful Select noted the following about the speculation…

“For some reason, there were rumors of a ‘plant’ regarding CM Punk’s apology in Saudi Arabia. The staff we spoke to said that if that was the case, they hadn’t heard of it.”
