Results of Tommaso Ciampa vs. Tony D’Angelo at WWE NXT Stand and Deliver 2022

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Tony D’Angelo took place during the WWE NXT Stand and Deliver 2022 PLE in Dallas, Texas. Here were the highlights…

* D’Angelo drove into the arena along with AJ Galante. Ciampa did a tribute to Triple H and Shawn Michaels with their poses during his entrance.

* Ciampa showed aggression in the early moments and took the fight to the outside. In a vintage Ciampa moment, he pulled away the floor mat to expose the concrete.

* Back in the ring, D’Angelo slowed down the pace but Ciampa was able to get a second wind. The two traded nearfalls and D’Angelo started trash talking which fired up Ciampa even further.

* D’Angelo tried to use a crowbar but Ciampa stopped him. While the referee was removing the crowbar, D’Angelo hit a low blow and went for the cover but Ciampa kicked out. D’Angelo went for the crowbar again but got hit with the Willow’s Bell. Ciampa then hit the Fairytale Ending but D’Angelo kicked out.

* Ciampa put on a submission but D’Angelo got to the rope. The two ended up on the outside and Ciampa was hit with a DDT by D’Angelo onto the exposed floor. Back in the ring, D’Angelo kicked Ciampa in the head and scored the pinfall victory.

* After the match, the crowd chanted “thank you Ciampa” and gave him a standing ovation. Triple H ended up meeting Ciampa on the stage and the two hugged.
