Results of Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre at WWE Wrestlemania 40 Sunday

Seth Rollins (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the world heavyweight title took place at WWE Wrestlemania 40 Sunday. Here are the highlights…

* Before the match started, Stephanie McMahon came to the ring to introduce the show.

* McIntyre had bagpipe players and highlanders with swords for his entrance. Rollins had a large band in colorful costumes for his entrance.

* CM Punk was on commentary for the match.

* McIntyre hit a claymore immediately when the match started and went for a cover but Rollins kicked out. McIntyre tried for another claymore but Rollins rolled to the outside of the ring. Rollins got the upper hand and gave McIntyre a pedigree on the floor but then started selling his knee. McIntyre got back in the ring and Rollins hit a stomp but McIntyre kicked out.

* McIntyre regained control and went for another claymore but Rollins countered with a powerbomb. Rollins hit a pedigree and then hit another stomp but McIntyre kicked out again.

* Rollins went for an avalanche stomp but missed. McIntyre hit a future shock DDT but Rollins kicked out. McIntyre tried to hit a GTS but Rollins countered with a pinfall attempt. McIntyre managed to deliver another claymore but Rollins kicked out again.

* The two ended up outside of the ring and McIntyre attempted to powerbomb Rollins through the announce table. Instead, Rollins gave McIntyre a stomp on the table and got him back into the ring. However, McIntyre hit another claymore out of nowhere but Rollins still kicked out. McIntyre delivered yet another claymore and finally scored the pinfall victory.

* An emotional Seth Rollins gave McIntyre acknowledgement as he left the ringside area.

* McIntyre celebrated and then taunted Punk with the title. McIntyre gave Punk a crotch chop but then Punk knocked McIntyre off the announce table. Punk took off his brace and attacked McIntyre.

With McIntyre down, Damain Priest ran down and hit McIntyre with his MITB briefcase. Priest then cashed in his contract and pinned McIntyre with a South of Heaven chokeslam. Priest celebrated with Judgment Day on the stage as Punk applauded.
