Samoa Joe (c) vs. “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland for the world title took place at AEW Revolution 2024. Here are the highlights…

* Jim Ross joined the commentary team for the remainder of the show.

* Joe took it to both Page and Swerve in the opening moments. Page and Swerve fought after Joe was finally sent to the outside of the ring. Joe got back into the mix and took control again. Page and Swerve worked together and powerbombed Joe out of the corner.

* Page and Swerve kept trying to finish each other off but Joe would come back and break up the pin. Swerve hit the stomp to Joe and the house call kick but focused on Page instead of trying to pin Joe. Swerve hit a house call kick to Page but Page kicked out.

* Swerve hit another stomp to Joe but Page pulled the referee out of the ring. Page took the AEW title and hit Swerve in the face twice with it. Page hit two buckshot lariats to Joe but the referee was still down. Another referee made the count but Joe kicked out.

* Joe applied a submission to Page but Swerve broke it up. Nana gave Swerve the crown but he declined to use it. Swerve was on the verge of pinning Joe but Page attacked the second referee. Swerve hit his JML driver to Page. However, Joe got rid of Swerve and tapped out Page with the coquina clutch.
