Rhea Ripley vs. Zelina Vega took place at WWE Backlash 2023. Here are the highlights…

* This match was for the Smackdown women’s title. Zelina was dressed in the colors of Puerto Rico along with the flag. Zelina was crying after receiving a loud ovation from the fans.

* At the start of the match, Zelina threw a chancla (sandal) at Rhea. Zelina tried to use her speed but was caught and powerbombed by Rhea. Rhea made an arrogant cover and Zelina was able to kick out. Zelina started to make a comeback but was hit with a headbutt by Rhea. Rhea went for riptide but Zelina countered with a DDT.

* Zelina hit Rhea with the 619 and came off the top with a Meteora but Rhea kicked out. Rhea recovered and pinned Zelina with the riptide. After the match, Zelina received a standing ovation from the fans.
