AEW National Championship: Mark Davis (c) vs. Andrade El Idolo took place at AEW Redemption 2026. Here are the highlights…

Andrade had new entrance music and wore a “How You Know” T-shirt. Andrade nearly won the match in the opening seconds. Davis fled to the outside, but Andrade continued the offense and took a selfie with a female fan. Davis finally gained the advantage by driving Andrade onto the apron.

Back in the ring, the two men exchanged strikes. Andrade built up momentum with the Three Amigos followed by the running knees in the corner. Davis regained the advantage with a lariat and continued his momentum with a leaping piledriver. Andrade regained control with a moonsault to the outside.

After getting Davis back in the ring, Andrade took off his pants and went for his frog splash, but Davis got his knees up. However, Andrade was able to counter Davis with the spinning backfist followed by The DM to capture the title.
