Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch for the women’s Intercontinental title took place at WWE Backlash 2025. Here are the highlights…

* Lyra gained the early advantage with multiple submission moves on Becky. Becky halted Lyra’s momentum by knocking her off the top rope. Becky then worked over Lyra and taunted Lyra’s fiancée at ringside.

* A fired-up Lyra mounted a comeback, delivering a superplex, but Becky kicked out. Becky reversed Lyra’s roll-up, grabbing the rope, but the referee caught her. Lyra landed a top-rope legdrop and attempted a moonsault, but Becky got her knees up. After exchanging strikes and submission holds, Becky hit the Manhandle Slam, but Lyra kicked out.

* A frustrated Becky intensified her aggression, bringing a chair into the ring. The referee confiscated the chair, but Becky then exposed the turnbuckle. She hit Lyra with another Manhandle Slam, but Lyra kicked out again. Becky attempted to use the exposed turnbuckle, but the referee intervened. As the referee reattached the turnbuckle pad, Lyra hit Becky with the Nightwing but a slight delay allowed Becky to kick out. Becky targeted Lyra’s eyes and attempted another pin, but Lyra countered and secured the victory.

* Immediately after the match, Becky attacked Lyra and applied the Disarm-her. Officials rushed to the ring to separate Becky from Lyra.
