Results of Konosuke Takeshita vs. Powerhouse Hobbs at AEW Worlds End 2024 PPV

Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs for the International title took place at the 2024 AEW Worlds End PPV event. Here are the highlights…

* There were “meat” chants as the match started. The two traded blows and Hobbs was able to sent Takeshita to the outside with a shoulder tackle. Hobbs slammed Takeshita on the apron repeatedly. Takeshita gained control but targeting the knee of Hobbs.

* Despite his knee hurting, Hobbs was able to make a comeback. Hobbs hit a powerslam but was still selling his knee. The two exchanged more “meat” shots and Hobbs wiped out Takeshita with a running lariat but still couldn’t win the match.

* Takeshita hit a Blue Thunder Bomb but Hobbs kicked out at one and Don Callis freaked out at the commentary desk. Both ended up on the top rope and Hobbs’ knee gave out on him. Takeshita gave Hobbs a superplex and then came off the top with a senton. Hobbs was able to counter Takeshita with a spinebsuter but Takeshita kicked out.

* Both were on the top again and Hobbs gave Takeshita an avalanche powerslam but was still having issues with his knee. Hobbs brace was taken off but then Takeshita was able to put Hobbs in a guillotine submission. Hobbs started to escape so Takeshita hit a raging fire to pick up the victory.
