Results of Ilja Dragunov vs. Tony D’Angelo at WWE NXT Stand and Deliver 2024

Ilja Dragunov vs. Tony D’Angelo for the world title took place during the WWE NXT Stand and Deliver 2024 PLE in Philadelphia, PA. Here are the highlights…

* A Sopranos-style video aired before D’Angelo made his entrance to the ring.

* Dragunov’s hand was taped up. They were evenly-matched in the early moments and they double clotheslined each other. Dragunov’s hand was hurting and D’Angelo took advantage. Despite the pain, Dragunov was able to deliver multiple offensive moves including multiple German suplexes. Dragunov powerbombed D’Angelo and went for the H-Bomb but D’Angelo avoided it.

* D’Angelo was given brass knuckles by Stacks but he decided to not use them. Dragunov worked over D’Angelo and dared Stacks to do something. D’Angelo was able to make a comeback and built up momentum after wiping out Dragunov with a lariat. D’Angelo gave Dragunov an avalanche overhead suplex that and Dragunov rolled out of the ring.

* The two brawled on the outside and Dragunov hit an H-Bomb. Dragunov laid out D’Angelo on the announce table and gave him another H-Bomb through it.

* Back in the ring, Dragunov came off the top rope for a dropkick but D’Angelo countered into a powerbomb. Dragunov was able to recover and then won the match with an avalanche H-Bomb. The two shook hands after the match.
