John Cena vs. R-Truth took place at the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24th 2025. Here are the highlights…

* Lilian Garcia provided a special ring introduction for Cena. R-Truth came to the ring with Cena’s music and ring attire. Cena immediately attacked R-Truth before the bell rang to start the match. There were dueling “you can’t wrestle/yes he can” chants from the fans.

* R-Truth dodged an AA and hit Cena with his own signature moves, including an AA, but Cena kicked out. R-Truth locked in an STF, but Cena reached the ropes. Cena grabbed his world title, seemingly to use it, but gave it to the referee. When the referee turned, Cena delivered a low blow and secured the win with an AA. After the match, Cena hit R-Truth with the title.
