Results of Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley at WWE Wrestlemania 37

Asuka (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

* Before the match, there was a segment to honor the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame class. Kane didn’t wear his mask but did do his fire pyro taunt.

* Singer Ash Costello did a live performance for Rhea Ripley’s entrance.

* Asuka got the upper hand early in the match but it didn’t last long. There were dueling chants for both women but the crowd started to boo Rhea as she slapped Asuka around. Rhea continued to work over Asuka until Asuka was able to make a comeback and hit a missile dropkick off the top rope.

* Asuka hit Rhea with a DDT off the apron to the floor but Rhea was able to avoid getting counted out. Rhea got a nearfall on Asuka after suplexing her back into the ring. Rhea countered an Asuka lock attempt and there was another nearfall. Rhea then hit a Riptide and scored the victory to become the new RAW women’s champion.
