Results of Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland at AEW Full Gear 2023

“Hangman” Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland in a Texas Deathmatch took place at AEW Full Gear 2023. Here are the highlights…

* Swerve had Prince Nana and dancers perform for his entrance. However, Page attacked Swerve without an entrance and immediately hit a buckshot lariat.

* Page continued to aggressively deliver punishment to Swerve and grabbed duct tape from under the ring. Page taped up Swerve’s hands and used a staple gun on him. Page stapled a piece of paper onto Swerve. Swerve was busted open and Page stapled more pieces of paper onto Swerve’s face.

* Page then started drinking the blood that was dripping from Swerve’s face.

* Prince Nana was finally able to free Swerve’s hands. Swerve started no-selling the staple gun shots and used the stapler on Page. Swerve sent Page head-first into a barbed wire covered chair. Swerve pulled out a cinder block from under the ring and gave Page a Death Valley Driver onto it. Swerve then gave Page a piledriver on the barricade and Page was busted open.

* Page managed to get back in the match and wrapped barbed wire around Swerve’s body. Page held the barbed wire chair and delivered a moonsault to Swerve on the outside of the ring.

* Back in the ring, Page gave Swerve a piledriver on the barbed wire chair. Nana helped Swerve beat the 10-count but Page continued to use the chair on Swerve. Swerve recovered and hit the swerve stomp onto the chair but Page managed to beat the count.

* Swerve poured glass onto Page’s back and hit a top rope splash following by a driver but Page still managed to beat the count and the crowd erupted in an “AEW” chant. Swerve brought a barbed wire board into the ring but Page ended up giving Swerve an avalanche fallaway slam onto the board. Page then gave Swerve the dead-eye on the board.

* Page wrapped barbed wire around Swerve’s head and then connected with another buckshot lariat. Nana pulled Swerve to the outside at the last second to break the count. Brian Cage then came into the ring and attacked Page. Page managed to fight off Cage and then Nana tried to attack Page. However, Page caught Nana and put him through a table with the dead-eye.

* When Page got up, Swerve hit Page in the back with a cinder block. Swerve then choked out Page with a chain and Page was finally unable to beat the 10 count.
