Report on Montez Ford’s WWE status following injury angle from Smackdown

An injury angle with Montez Ford took place on the June 11th 2021 edition of Friday Night Smackdown. On June 24th, Ford published a photo of himself in a hospital.

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com is reporting that the angle on Smackdown was done as a “cover story” since Ford was getting a legitimate procedure done. Meltzer noted the following…

“He did get legitimate surgery, a voluntary surgery not related to an injury and not something that should keep him out of action for any significant length of time.”
