Potential spoiler regarding Santos Escobar’s storyline with Rey Mysterio and the LWO
As seen during the November 10th 2023 edition of WWE Smackdown, Santos Escobar turned heel against former United States champion Rey Mysterio and the LWO. It appears that the angle was done to write off Rey from television for the time being.
Santos is now scheduled to face Carlito at the 2023 WWE Survivor Series PLE. Santos is expected to win his match against Carlito and is a heavy betting odds favorite.
In regards to future stoyline plans for Escobar, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that the match “should involve some sort of tipping of the hand regarding who will be on Escobar’s side in the upcoming feud with a group led by Rey Mysterio & Carlito.” Meltzer added that Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo “were planned for this at least as of the past week.” According to Meltzer, the original idea was for Wilde and Del Toro to stay aligned with Escobar. There is also speculation of Electra Lopez joining Escobar’s side but it hasn’t been confirmed.
Angel and Humbero have been working for the NXT brand as of late and are set to compete for the NXT tag team titles next week.
