Possible spoiler regarding Bobby Lashley’s opponent for Summerslam 2021
As previously noted, WWE reportedly decided to not bring back Brock Lesnar for the 2021 Summerslam PPV. For months, there was speculation about WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defending his title against Lesnar at the PPV.
According to Fightful Select, it now looks like Bill Goldberg will be Lashley’s opponent at Summerslam. The site noted the following…
“Fightful has learned that as of Thursday, WWEs plan was for Bill Goldberg to return on Monday’s RAW and to set up an eventual match with Bobby Lashley, targeted for Summerslam.”
The belief is that Goldberg’s WWE contract is set for two matches a year. Goldberg had his first match of 2021 in January when he lost to Drew McIntyre in a WWE Title match.
