News regarding WWE’s plans for Chad Gable following the El Grande Americano mask vs. mask match

As seen during the June 15th 2026 edition of WWE RAW, Chad Gable defeated Rusev after debuting new entrance music. Gable has been portrayed as a babyface since dropping the original El Grande Americano gimmick in a Mask vs. Mask match against the new El Grande Americano.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, there is a strong internal push within WWE to feature Gable in a significant way. There is reportedly support for Gable to have a prominent role at SummerSlam 2026, as the event is scheduled to take place in his hometown of Minneapolis.

It was also noted that Fanatics was surprised by the strong performance of the auction for the Americano mask. The success of the auction has reportedly led Fanatics to explore additional ring-worn merchandise opportunities. One concept being discussed would allow fans to bid on certain items before a match takes place, potentially expanding how WWE markets memorabilia connected to major events.
