News regarding WWE’s decision to book the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas for the Wrestlemania 40 Kickoff

The WWE Wrestlemania 40 Kickoff press conference took place on Thursday night in Las Vegas, NV at the T-Mobile arena. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following in regards to why WWE booked the T-Mobile Arena…

“We were told the reason they booked the T Mobile Arena was because Johnson [The Rock] would be there, because otherwise they would have booked a smaller building. The booking of the building was finalized weeks ago, before the McMahon controversy. As it turned out, they greatly overshot. Even with it being free and Johnson being there, the estimate was only 2,000 to 3,000 people were there, but they were very vocal.”

While some fans speculated that WWE would announce Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas, WWE did not reveal anything about the 2025 event during the press conference. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following…

“Some within WWE believe Minneapolis will be the site of WrestleMania 41 and the Twin Cities have been in the mix for the past few years. Las Vegas was picked for the WrestleMania 40 press conference so WWE could be included in Super Bowl week in the city.”
