News regarding Triple H, Nick Khan and TKO’s Marc Shapiro meeting with Warner Brothers Discovery executive

As previously noted, CM Punk reportedly helped renew talks between WWE and Warner Brothers Discovery for a potential media rights deal with RAW. In an update on the situation, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following…

“PWInsider.com can confirm that this past Monday morning TKO’s Marc Shapiro as well as WWE’s Nick Khan and Paul Levesque [Triple H] were in NYC at the Warner Bros. Discovery headquarters meeting with WBD executive Bruce Campbell about potentially moving Raw to the WBD family. Campbell holds the position of Chief Revenue and Strategy Officer. We are told that the WWE contingent met with Campbell for several hours Monday AM with at least part of the meeting taking place in a conference room usually reserved for David Zaslav.”

Johnson added that according to WWE sources, there are still other suitors for the RAW media rights.

Ibou of WrestlePurists.com also wrote the following about the matter via Twitter/X…

“There are whispers that Mark Shapiro, Paul Levesque and Nick Khan have met with Warner Brothers Discovery recently, at the behest of WBD themselves. This information leaking is what’s led to the increased speculation.

The argument can be made that WBD is simply doing their due diligence, as they have a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders to entertain big money offers. It’s hard to predict with David Zaslav though. Retaining the NBA appears to be their priority, and we’ll see how the rest of this shakes out.

What I can tell everyone is that the media outlet that ends up getting this story and putting out the press release will likely be a prestige one, like an LA Times, ESPN, WSJ or something like that. Until then, it’ll be silence from WWE and AEW as speculation continues to run rampant.”
