News regarding Bayley potentially signing with AEW once her WWE contract expires
As seen at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Lyra Valkyria defeated Bayley in a singles match. During a commercial break on WWE RAW, Lyra referenced the victory in a promo by saying, “I dropped a load of dead weight on Saturday when I ran Bayley out of here.”
According to Fightful.com, Bayley has not signed a new WWE contract. Her current deal is expected to expire by the end of the year unless injury time is added.
The report states that AEW has been monitoring Bayley’s contract status for quite some time and is expected to have significant interest if she reaches free agency. One agent told Fightful that Bayley should, at minimum, test the free agent market, believing her negotiations could influence how other top WWE talent approach future contract talks.
Fightful added that both WWE and AEW are expected to offer Bayley multi-year, multi-million-dollar contracts, with AEW sources having discussed the possibility of her joining the company for nearly a year.
