News regarding Baron Corbin being drafted back to the WWE Smackdown brand

As previously noted, it was announced after the April 26th 2024 edition of WWE Smackdown that Baron Corbin has been drafted back to Smackdown. Corbin had been performing on the NXT brand over the past year and formed a tag team with Bron Breakker. Breakker was drafted to the RAW brand.

On Saturday, Fightful Select had updates from Sean Ross Sapp and Corey Brennan in regards to WWE’s creative decision with Corbin…

“Both Sapp and Brennan heard that Corbin and Bron Breakker were drafted to separate brands because WWE sees a major singles star in Breakker. In addition, Sapp was told that Corbin is likely to get a renewed look on Smackdown after not being pushed on the main roster since 2022.”
