Mercedes Mone expected to work with AEW once she is cleared to wrestle again
As seen during the 2023 AEW All In PPV, Mercedes Mone (formerly Sasha Banks) was shown watching the event in the crowd.
Mercedes is recovering from an injury and according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, Mercedes was wearing a heavy walking boot backstage. AEW specifically shot the footage of her in the crowd sitting to not show the boot.
Johnson also noted the following…
“The expectation backstage is that when she’s cleared, she will be coming in for appearances and likely would have debuted at the TD Garden Blood and Guts episode of Dynamite in her hometown of Boston, MA had she not gotten injured wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling just prior to that.”
During All In’s post-show press conference, AEW President Tony Khan commented on Mercedes being at the event.
