Match type from WWE NXT to debut on main roster at the 2022 Extreme Rules PLE

During the September 19th 2022 edition of WWE RAW, Matt Riddle interfered in Seth Rollins’ match against Bobby Lashley. Later on in the evening, Rollins interfered in Riddle’s tag team match. The two ended up brawling backstage and Rollins told Riddle they could have another match. Riddle said that he wanted a “fight pit” match at the Extreme Rules PLE and Rollins accepted.
