Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks reportedly being suspended by AEW

As previously noted, there was reportedly a physical altercation between members of The Elite and CM Punk after the 2022 AEW Out PPV event when The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega “stormed into” CM Punk’s locker room.

In an update on the situation, SI.com noted the following Wednesday morning…

“Punishment for that backstage fight, Sports Illustrated has learned, will include suspensions for every person involved. The list of those receiving suspensions includes Omega, Matt and Nick Jackson, Pat Buck, Christopher Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, and Brandon Cutler. Multiple sources have shared that Punk and Ace Steel will either be among those suspended, or will no longer be with the company by the end of Wednesday.”

The site noted that CM Punk had a meeting with AEW President Tony Khan on Tuesday to address Punk’s status with the company and how a potential “exit could be handled.” It was also stated that per sources, an external third-party investigation into the backstage altercation is being conducted.
