John Laurinaitis dropped as defendant in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against WWE and Vince McMahon
It was reported by The Wall Street Journal in January of 2024 that Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, filed a lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis in a Connecticut federal court. McMahon was accused of sex trafficking in the complaint.
In an update on the case, Laurinaitis has been dropped as a defendant. PostWrestling.com was issued a statement from Grant’s representatives…
“John Laurinaitis has agreed to cooperate and provide evidence in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE. His agreement to a confidential settlement is a pivotal next step toward holding McMahon and WWE accountable and bringing justice to Ms. Grant after years of sexual abuse and trafficking. Mr. Laurinaitis looks forward to moving on with his life. We cannot provide any additional details at this time.”
PostWrestling also noted that the dismissal of Laurinaitis was submitted by Grant’s attorneys “with prejudice,” meaning Grant has agreed not to revisit her claims against him.
