Jeff Hardy reportedly turns down offer to make WWE return

As previously noted, Jeff Hardy released from his WWE contract following an incident at a live event.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, John Laurinaitis recently called Jeff Hardy in regards to coming back. An offer was also reportedly made for Hardy to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Hardy was said to have declined the offer and Meltzer noted the following…

“Hardy turned it down and asked for his drug test results because he knew he wasn’t going to test positive for recreational drugs. It took Hardy and his wife six weeks to get the results back.”

Hardy remains until contract with WWE until March 9th and AEW can’t make a legal offer to him until that time. Meltzer added that “there is a feeling right now that this is one guy they don’t want in AEW” due to the various tag matches that Matt and Jeff can have in the company.
