Gunther vs. Nick Aldis officially confirmed for WWE SummerSlam 2026

During the WWE SummerSlam 2026 Kickoff event, there was an altercation between Gunther and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. Paul “Triple H” Levesque helped to separate them and then made the following announcement…

“You guys want to fight? You’ve asked for it, now you got it. This is the WWE. What do we do? We get in the ring, we settle our differences. So at SummerSlam, it will be the Ring General Guthrie versus Nick Aldis. You guys will settle this once and for all at SummerSlam.”

Aldis, who was a former world champion in TNA and the NWA, will be performing in his first WWE match.
