Former WCW personality believes that R-Truth’s situation with WWE “was a total work from the start”

Last weekend, R-Truth announced that he was leaving WWE. As seen during the 2025 WWE Money in the Bank PLE, R-Truth made a surprise appearance when he attacked John Cena.

Former WCW personality David Penzer, who was a ring announcer for both WCW and TNA Wrestling, gave his thoughts on the situation with R-Truth in a post via Twitter/X…

“My opinion is that this was a total work from the start and that they want everyone to believe it wasn’t so that talent doesn’t get their feelings hurt. My take, tell me why I’m wrong…”

Penzer later wrote the following…

“After a bit of reflection I certainly don’t know the ‘truth’ about the Ron Killings ‘angle’ just that my gut says work. Not my hill to die on just my feeling. Problem for legitimate wrestling journalists is they are covering a business steeped in deception for centuries. Not an easy gig.”
