Drew McIntyre reportedly taking an extended leave of absence from WWE following steel cage match loss to Damian Priest

As seen during WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24th 2025, Damian Priest defeated Drew McIntyre inside a steel cage. Priest left the cage after giving McIntyre a conchairto.

According to PWInsider.com, McIntyre is expected to be taking an extended leave of absence from WWE. It was noted that McIntyre, who has reportedly been working hurt for some time, has finished his current WWE dates and will be off television going forward.

While there’s been talk of McIntyre potentially landing a significant Hollywood role for some time, his current situation would not be related to that and but rather for personal time off.
