Belief that CM Punk is never going to wrestle again from people that have known him

As previously noted, there could be a buyout of CM Punk’s AEW contract following his backstage altercation with The Elite.

While appearing on Wrestling Observer Radio, Nick Hausman of WrestlingInc.com commented on the possibility of CM Punk’s wrestling career being over…

“Cash does not seem to be an issue for this guy. He’s got in-roads in Hollywood going on right now. Stephen Amell certainly shining him up with what they’re trying to do over on Heels right now. I have a lot of people that have known Punk that say to me ‘This guy’s never gonna wrestle again.’” (quote courtesy of WrestleTalk.com)

Meltzer responded to Hausman with the “never say never” line. There was recently talk that Triple H could be open to working with Punk again.
