Backstage news regarding WWE’s plans for the women’s tag team titles following injury to Liv Morgan
As seen during the June 16th 2025 edition of WWE RAW, Liv Morgan’s match against Kairi Sane was stopped early due to a dislocated shoulder. It was later reported that Liv is expected to miss up to six months of WWE action as her injury will reportedly require surgery.
In an update on the women’s tag team titles, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com wrote the following…
“With her surgery pending, multiple WWE sources have confirmed that Liv Morgan has been pulled from the road and won’t be making any appearances live on WWE programming in the near future. We are told a plan has been made for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles and they are NOT expected to be vacated as of this morning.”
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that the entire card for Evolution II “is up in the air” due to Liv’s injury. Earlier this week, there was speculation about Roxanne Perez filling in for Liv as champion with Raquel Rodriquez.
