Backstage news regarding the WWE injuries to Bobby Lashley, Zelina Vega, and Asuka

Numerous WWE stars were pulled from the 2024 King and Queen tournaments due to injuries including Bobby Lashley, Zelina Vega, and Asuka. According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, the injuries to Lashley and Vega were both known “well in advance.” Meltzer noted that those involved with the Shayna Baszler match knew she was getting a new opponent early last week if not sooner.

Meltzer also stated the following about Asuka’s injury…

“It’s the original knee injury in the Smackdown angle where she started limping, two months ago, that she took a little time off but then went right back to working on, and it worsened on the European tour and she felt she needed to stay to drop the tag titles at Backlash and then take time off.”
