Backstage news regarding Becky Lynch’s babyface turn at WWE Summerslam 2022
As seen at the 2022 WWE Summerslam PLE, Becky Lynch turned babyface after losing to RAW women’s champion Bianca Belair.
The belief is that Becky’s face turn was not in the plans before the retirement of Vince McMahon. Wade Keller of PWTorchVIP.com said the following during his audio show…
“I can now confirm Becky was not gonna turn if Vince McMahon was still in control. That was a Paul Levesque [Triple H] call. I just got confirmation on that. She would have been a heel as we’re talking right now if McMahon was still running things. So, one big change early on there.” (quote courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)
Fans in attendance at Summerslam noted that Becky was selling her shoulder after the match but isn’t any word in regards to if she was legitimately injured.
